If you know one Obi, you know almost all the others. I can only state that subjectively the range and quality at Obi decline more than at the other hardware store chains. But it could also be that the quality was higher at Obi in the past than at the others.

As a stopgap solution, okay. But the OBI Abensberg cannot be called a good hardware store. In all respects, competitors are clearly superior. It starts with the parking spaces, continues with the lack of selection, from employees who have no idea about what they are selling, the overpriced prices, to the register where only 1 register is open with 15 waiting customers. The only plus point was the friendliness of the staff and the cashier. They may not have a clue, but they still smile, and the cashier also did not let herself be stressed.

Typical well-stocked Obi hardware store with friendly and helpful staff, located within the Abensberg shopping center, parking spaces as well as a bus stop right in front of the house, all easily accessible year-round.

Extensive range. Friendly employees. The only downside: Sometimes you have to search a bit until you find the right contact person for the respective department.
